I recently noticed that they are advertising 38CPM. Are they serious? Would you work for that wage?

    Paying some 35 km per kilometre. That's about 1.61 x 35 per mile = 56.35 cents.

An immigrant would. That's why trucking is dying in Canada. Let them have the vans, cans and reefers and leave the other freight for the men

Yes there is so much cheap immergrant labour out there that the gov imports to keep wages down and for corporations that are making record profits right now and we all starve with welfare wages.
Trucking company exploit this practice and laugh at us drivers. It all about the profits going to the company and empty pockets for the drivers I know I was in management for a 100 plus truck fleet I heard the owners talk poor respect for there drivers and I didn't care or support there way of thinking it discussed me.
The only way this industry can change is to drivers to be informed of there rights like overtime pay which is law and the respect they deserve. I remember my dad and grandpa rorking in this industry back in the day. They wore uniforms and we're in driver unions people!!! Stop fighting among yourself's and act drivers are there own enemy. Me I'm retired now and have seen this industry collapse on itself. Sad very sad.
