Can you reinstate a Texas cdl online?

it's up to you to update your state with a new medical certificate before your old one expirers, not your company even if you get your physical through the company.

Get with the state to see if they will reinstate your CDL with proof you got the medical before it expires. in most cases like this you need to take the CDL examines and road tests again.

 

What rock have you been under? We have had to certify the med card with the state since 2014 iirc.

Why would anyone trust a company with something so important to their career?

CDL Downgraded for Medical Certification
If your CDL or CLP has been downgraded due to an expired Medical Examiner's Certificate, you must visit your local driver license office to be upgraded. A CDL that was downgraded to a driver license (DL) solely for failure to provide a valid medical variance or medical examiners certificate, may be upgraded back to your previous CDL status (including restrictions and endorsements) without taking CDL knowledge and skills exams provided the following conditions are met:

• The record status must be Eligible (NOT suspended, revoked, disqualified, canceled)
• The DL is not expired as indicated on the expiration date of the downgraded DL
• The DL has not been renewed or re-issued (address change, name change, replacement) as a non-commercial driver license since the CDL was downgraded
• You must meet all CDL requirements and provide valid medical variance or medical examiners certificate (if applicable) or certify to an excepted status
• Applicable transaction fees will apply

I just got stopped by DOT in Texas yesterday. My lisence had been downgraded to class c. I took my social security card lisence and new health card to drivers licence mega center in Phlugerville. It cost 97.00 dollars to reinstate me and certify my new card. I had been expired for a long time! So no you don't have to retake any test at all. Just refill all the forms they'll reissue you a brand new license. My new one is good until 2031! So its a pain in the but and costs 100.00 but otherwise it's pretty straightforward. Now if you're downgraded for something else? But health card only you do not need to take any tests at all!

 

You'll have to go in person now because it's been downgraded. In the future, if you submit it before it expires, you can just email them a copy of the new medical card without needing to go in. They have the address for that posted on their website.
