I wanted to know if freight brokers can have more then one factoring company. I am working for a fairly new brokerage and a problem they are having is that no carrier wants to work for them because their credit is not that great, so their factoring company do not allow them to work for us, how can we work around this or change this? other then building up our credit.

50% upon pickup and 50% upon delivery via comcheck, wire transfer, QuickPay or whatever else. Post that in comments when posting a load on the board, or people might not even bother to call you.
I, for example, only book loads on this terms with new brokers.

I don't use factoring, but I use their "factor or not" check mark on the DAT board. Funny that new brokers have to deal with almost the same credibility issues as new carriers. But the fact is that I would stay away form new brokers. It may not be too fair, especially being a new MC# myself I should be more understanding. Yes, maybe if I was offered some hefty advance for no charge, I'd be convinced.

Just use carriers that don't factor loads.

Offer COD through all payment platforms ie: Zelle, Cashapp, PayPal, etc. before they unload. Or 50/50 pickup and delivery the same way or through Comcheck. As a carrier, once I find out that you’re not factorable, the first thing I ask is “Is this load COD?” But 50/50 is really best because it’s also like a fuel advance for those who don’t have gas cards. The fuel for the load is covered up front, which is more incentive to take the load for you.
