Can a drvier request an inspection at a scale house?

depends on the state. and wether there is a inspection certified officer in coveralls on duty.
cali works around the clock but most states don't. and some don't really do them anymore. they call in to highway patrol. and in utah. NO you can't ask for an inspection. it's done by the highway patrol.
since csa rolled out. most of the scale house duties changed over to the highway patrol. last time i rolled through iowa 2 months ago. highway patrol in front of me pulled off the road and got right back behind me. becuase a tailight wasn't working. i'm pretty sure the scale house called it in. -
