Curious if any companies run cab over trucks anymore or not. Most trucks I see or hear people talking about are conventional trucks. I can't say I prefer one or the other, but after driving on the farms over in Idaho, I had a comfortable first experience driving while in a cab over.

Don't think anybody makes cabovers anymore. Not sure they can get parts for them anymore.

Bobbyt yes COE's are still produced, but the demand for them is low. N172 unless a company has a specific need for a COE they will run a Conventional. There are two main reasons. The first it's easier to work on the engine. The second is the majority drivers DO NOT like COE's. Conventionals are more comfortable and ride better than COEs especially over rough roads.

Now i'm getting anxious to get myself into a conventional...my biggest thing is that to me, in my opinion, you have a better feel of where the nose of your truck is. largely due to the fact that that you are the nose. lol. to each their own right? but i can understand the comfort side of a conventional compared to a coe in regards to room.

if i'm correct, coe's are more widely used in eastern countries. Europe to Saudi Arabia. See most of them used to haul oil or triples/quad trailers.

I have driven a few COE's that rode just as good as a conventional. This is just my opion but the dislike for COE's is a supertrucker complex.

I see a real nice cabover yesterday.Looked brand new.I prefer the conventional.

It is also (at times) a safety issue, for the driver. Do you wanna climb a ladder each time you wanna get in and out of that POS??
DO you wanna slip and fall when the hand rails get wet/icy in the winter time??
do you wanna feel every stinking bump in the road as you sit on top of the steer axle??
Not me bro, my first time in a "hood", made me decide right there and then, that was the truck for me to drive. Every job I had ever applied to, one of my questions (high on my list) was, "do you people have hoods or cabovers"??
If they said, "cabover", I would slam down the phone and move on.
Once you go "hood", you never go back.
Just saying, you want comfort or a beaten up body at the end of the day??
And in MANY situations, a "hood" can get into the same docks as a cabover, might take a little more time, but it gets done. I know, I deliver to downtown Boston every night, and that area is just as tight (if NOT tighter) as NYC, and I also pull a 53' trailer as well.
