so CA never notified you that your med card expired? normally state will notify you of such and that they will suspend your CDL at expiration til you show new med exam and card. seems like most states are notifying guys of expiration due to newer regs. AZ does anyway. once you renew your physical, don't know why you can't drive your truck or get hired to drive unless you have other issues.
Seward Thanks this. -
Yes you can, I've been in the same situation before.
California does notify you that your medical card is about to expire. This time around they notified me about three months before mine expired. -
Thanks for the info Ribeye. Much appreciated. Drive safe

Thats true otterhalf, good point. I think AZ gives you one yr to get new med card before you have to retake all written and skill tests over again, which is bs. But they will suspend your CDL at expiration and knock down license to a operators lic. for just driving cars at least.

And make sure you get that new med card into the state also.

I ask that very question at the dmv. Med card been expired almost 2 yrs now. They said all i have to do is get a d.o.t.
