Hey guys, the Injector part mumber thread is going good, could we do the same for Cam Shafts??

I am looking for the 6NZ cam number but the other popular ones (marine, etc) would be good too.

    Thanks for the help.

    The camshaft in the 1LW, 2WS, 6NZ, 5DS, 1MM and 7CZ are the same part # 139-0538 or a reman 10R-3292.

    The 130-9710 3406E 800hp marine engine cam
    reman (10r7155)

    1000 hp cam 201-2677

I dont know the reman pt# for the 1000hp cam...:biggrin_25514:

I just stepped in on this, have you heard how the higher performance cams run in a truck application?

I can say from experience that the 1000hp cam runs fantastic on a C16 anyway. It makes it super responsive to throttle especially low rpms. Coming off of a red light....power is right there from idle on up without waiting for turbo boost to make it go. The cam really pulls from the bottom to the top. Very impressive. i felt it gave me a bit more engine braking as well. I would be curious to know if this cam runs as well on a C15 or not.

Sounds fantastic, did the fuel economy improve? I figure with the increased cylinder pressure you probably don't have to shift high on the motor to make things happen. I suspect that slight difference in displacement between the C15 and the C16 shouldn't affect the performance that much.

I was told it was dyno proven the 1000 lost HP in a 15 and the 800 lost HP in the 16, so the 1000 is better in the 16....I was told. But here lately I was told the 800 in my 15 was hurting HP in the combination i was planning to build. Who knows....

    Hello everyone
It’s my first post here and I can’t seem to figure out my question after extensive research.
I have low HP 3406e(2ws08414) with a 1439153 camshaft. One of my injector lobes is starting to get worn down. I ordered a replacement camshaft through YNG LLC. They sent me 1390538 camshaft which is rated for the higher hp arrangements. They said that they bet their left nut on it that it will work with no problems. On the contrary the cat dealer say that these cams don’t interchange, but they don’t have info on how they differ . What will happen if I put the
    1390538 into 1439153 engine arrangement?
