I'm headed here right now to pick up a load. I have a good friend that lives a few miles away wants to go grab dinner while I'm around. Does anyone know if they allow parking here, or if there is anywhere nearby where I could park my truck.

I was there about 4 weeks ago myself. 4 check points to get on dock. You would think we were loading nuclear material instead of sugar ... but 4 hours of dention pay helped my week.

Yeah I have seen drivers sleeping there at the check point. I actually took my 10 last night about 10' from the railroad tracks listening to Amtrak every 30 seconds after I ran their storage tank out of molasses. You shouldn't have a problem parking just make sure you ain't in the way. You can also park on the shoulder on Cummings Skyway up on top of the hill. Sometimes I drop my tank up there and go bobtailing toward Hercules for food.

This post is 4 weeks old, but I've been there a couple times. It's been a few years so my memory is a little fuzzy on the place. I remember a bunch of trailers lyeing around under the bridge or towards that direction and there might be some places that they may let you drop one but can't remember. As mentioned the wait there was extremely long both times I went there (like 4-8 hours) however they did have a phone number to a sandwhich shop that would deliver and the food was really good both times I ordered from there. That's all the insight I have on the place.

I picked up from there, once. I had to let the trailer air out about two hours, but the company I was with had my team partner and I cover and emergency load while we were waiting.
