I was "let go" by CHR a few months ago. Turns out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm with a great company now and will never look back. Just so others will know...The branch manager let 8 people go over a 2 weeks time frame and possibly more since. He just happened to fire some of the best talent in the office. And most of all, the most honest people in the office. He is a crook that would rob his own mother for her last dollar and seems to keep employees that do the same. I was called in to the office on numerous occasions for being honest with my customers and not ripping them off. I was told to "get every penny you can get away with" and when it comes to paying carriers to "don't take the first truck w/ a low rate, there is always someone with a lower rate"

LOL I looked up reviews on the Indeed website.
"If you are struggling to get a first job out of college CH might be a right fit for you. They get you experienced with office work and high amounts of phone calls. The problem is that it gets old fast and thats all you will ever do with the company. The mangment plays favs when it comes to promotions. You have to have thick skin to work here because you be cursed out by truck drivers on a regular basis, and the higher ups usually only use anger and fear to try to hit the numbers. Again there is no place to go which is why you walk into any office and its mostly 30 and under."

Here's a review I found from a shipper.
"Very poor service, they are a brokerage company who pays their sub contracted truck drivers very low pay for transporting goods, so they send dirty trucks, really not the best, sometimes late and their customer support is rude specially that girl Sam at the Fresn, Office."pearcetrucking, aiwiron and 6wheeler Thank this. -
As a hauler for them in the past some loads pay very well but hard to get, overall they suck.
6wheeler Thanks this. -
have hauled for ch in the past. my only problem with them is there rates are not very good. most of the time there loads are ready when you get there and the loads are on pallets. but you have the same problems on the other end about getting unloaded fast enough. but you have to remember they are in the business to make money that comes before anything else. when i dispatched in the 70s i learned real fast to develop tough skin. do the best job at the time with the information you have. and try not to second guess yourself and go back and start changing things. lots of luck on your new job

I've never had a problem with CHR. Since they offer email contacts for each load posting, we can crank out 10+ bids via email, and almost always get our rate from one of them.
BookingYou19 Thanks this. -
I hope all them cheapo's go bankrupt and have to close there doors, CHR, TQL, Bear, Sunteck and all the others that I forgot!!!!! I Pray for it every night, there cheap's and I dont understand how they are still in business becasue anyone in there right mind wouldn't haul for cheapo's.
-
lol you should read some of the reviews I found for TQL. Just google search.

If CHR is cheap that is your own fault. I get great rates out of that bunch but I don't just take whatever falls in front of me from them. And they know your MC they don't just give money away. You say no a bunch or you roll cheap every time. That's just how it is. And they will take a good run away to see your reaction. You can cut and run or continue hauling. My advice is adios amigos...
