    Hello all,
I am currently buying a new truck (my t600 finally went to pasture at 1.2) and will be buying a new one with a wet kit for my new carrier. I have been driving flatbed for the last 3 years but he wants me to drive sidedumps in addition to flatbed. My question is this (and sorry if I sound like an idiot but I have never run anything with a wet kit): Is it ok to run under a flatbed with the wet kit not hooked up to anything? Is there a way to "turn off" the system so it doesn't pressurize while not in use? I know it disengages, but from my understanding it is still pressurized. Please forgive my ignorance but I can't seem to find a definitive answer in my research. Fire away!

If the PTO is disengaged the pump isn't spinning. Pump not spinning, no oil is flowing and no pressure is generated.

When the PTO is disengaged, your wet kit isn't doing anything. It won't hurt a thing to run down the road not hooked to a trailer.

    SK8orDIE and stillwurkin Thank this.
