Truck prob wont make it to CA before it breaks down. But you need to get a IFTA temp for each state u drive in and insurance. Then u are good to go. Also better make sure the truck will pass emissions in CA

Dallas is close enough to the oil patch, I would have the truck throughly inspected with a fine tooth comb.
Very possible this truck was ridden like a red-headed step child on a rented mule.

Arrow gets their trucks from all over, I bought mine from them. 15 ProStar with ISX, 10sp, APU, and only 382k on it when I got her. It was a former fleet truck (I want to say Celadon??) that had been in a minor accident and repaired. I've had zero notable issues with it, other than normal wear and tear items.

To the OP, get rid of those terrible drive recaps ASAP. Within 80k miles, I had three go bald.

Oh, I had to fly to Dallas to get my truck, my salesman coordinated it from Kansas City, which is where it was allegedly located. I drove it back to Michigan with just insurance and the temp plate. No IFTA, I just used Mudflap to fill it once.

Yeah, N.M. and Az. and Ca. 3 POE's where you will get looked at carefully. Arrow should give you a temp registration.

Contact California CDTFA cdtfa.ca.gov for requirements to avoid state use (sales) tax. Don't pay sales tax in Texas. Take delivery in Texas. Use truck more than 50% for interstate commerce for the first six months. Need to keep your logs, fuel receipts and bol's to submit for review. Don't pay use tax when you register with the California DMV. Tell them what your doing and they'll have a form for the exemption. Does not work if the truck is for intrastate.
