Hey. Does anyone know how if it is convenient to purchase Diesel with a credit card? Is it possible? Are there fees? Thanks!

You can, but it’s a pain because you have to go inside first and have them set the pump. It’s also more expensive.
Get a Fleetone card from NASTC. -
You want to pay credit price in exchange for some "rewards" a credit card offers? A decent fuel card will save you more than paying with a credit card ever will. And it is way more convenient. The favorite around here is NASTC. There are several options out there though.

What you should be asking is if you can pay your nastc card invoice with one of those 4% cash back credit cards on fuel with unlimited amount. Now we're getting somewhere.

I need to clarify my statement.
I was understanding when I read the statement, that the question was asking about buying (a) diesel I read. So I thought the post was about buying a truck with a credit card.

Visa/Mastercard is accepted EVERYWHERE. Those special fuel cards, and it doesn't matter which one(s), are NOT. That means ANYWHERE that sells diesel fuel that you can get your truck into is a potential fuel stop.
Not EVERY fuel stop has different cash/credit prices. I prefer the ones that do not charge "extra" for credit cards. Most of the time, the ones with the same cash/credit price are 25-30 cents per gallon cheaper than the cash price at the big chains. The fuel stops that DO charge extra for using a credit card it's usually 5-6 cents per gallon.
The only real inconvenience I've experienced is with pay-at-the-pump type stations...sometimes there is a $75 or $100 limit, so you've got to run the card a 2nd or 3rd time to finish filling up. But you know what? When you're paying $2.81/gallon with your credit card and the Pilot across the street is $3.25/gallon cash price, you really don't mind swiping the card a few times to restart the pumps.
Now keep in mind, I'm local...home every night or at a Holiday Inn Express if I'm not. Either way, I can get as many showers as I want. If you're OTR and will be relying upon the chains for your showers, it would be in your best interest to get SOME sort of fuel card to at LEAST get the cash price...but hopefully that card will provide a bit more of a discount than just the cash price because of how stupid expensive they are compared to the adjacent non-chain fuel stops. If you're going to be paying for fuel with a credit card, it might actually be cheaper to fuel at the cheapest places and just pay out of pocket for your showers. I've never looked into that, because I don't have to...but if it applies to you, it's something to consider.nax and Oldironfan Thank this. -

I use my credit card and get back 4 percent on fuel purchases. I can almost always find a small stop to get fuel cheaper than the big chains offer.
