Buying a truck isn't a walk a lap around the unit and kick a couple tires type deal. This is your livelihood at stake here. Pre-purchase due dilligence saves a ton of headaches like this.
ZVar and tommymonza Thank this. -
What? Absolutely no warranty? What all did they say? This all smells fishy. Tell us the rest of the story. I personally don't know anyone who would take it in the back door and then post it on TTR.

They refuse to help on anything, all they said was fine when I left. Didnt matter only drove 150 mile bobtail. Only post this to make other people aware of them and to save somebody from same mistake I done....mainly taking everything they said about the truck to heart....that was my mistake . But hoping so save somebody the hassle

Nothing to add here, only echoing what the members have said already.
Shelby Elliot has always catered to the high shine, bigger is better kool aid crowd. Back when they were still around he inventoried the trucks with the V-8 Cats and KTA Cummins etc. Cant blame Elliot for trying for the big money trucks. Only says buyer should expect more problems and expense.
When looking at a truck to buy, I have spent a large, stupid amount of time going over every inch of the truck, at least twice.
I don't have the luxury of the "high rollers". The area of $100K purchase is a HUGE expense in my world!
If a seller won't let you inspect truck how you want, run. Buying 2nd hand is a big risk.
I applaud your attitude. You aren't crying how it is everyone else's fault. I am 100% confident you learned an expensive lesson. Hopefully, the truck isn't a perpetual money pit. (Every truck is a money pit, some trucks are a bottomless money pit).Last edited: Aug 12, 2020

It’s safe to assume every truck when purchased used needs something.
I’ve been truck shopping lately and I actually found some places that said there’s a 30 minute test drive limit. Others say return it before 5pm have fun.bigguns Thanks this. -
