I’m considering buying a 2016 Columbia Glider truck, mostly because of reliability and to be able to use paper logs. Do you guys know if gliders will continue to be eld excempt? Also will they stop producing them/ban them in 2021?

It’s not the glider that’s exempt.. it’s the 99 or older engine that is..

Some have a engine from between 00 and 04. -
You can still buy gliders, they just need to meet 2010 or higher emissions standards, or a very limited amount of pre emissions trucks. I do believe you can still get a pre emissions/eld one (which depends on engine year) if you already have a title for a pre eld/emissions one that has been wrecked.
that’s currently, I still prefer holding the title to a actual old truck because who knows what those idiots at the epa have up their sleeves as far as changing/future laws.....Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
