Does anyone know of any "good" buy here pay here truck dealerships. Most have overly priced trucks or just plain ole junk.

I would think loan mountain leasing could fall into this category. Although its a lease you pay them. After you make your last payment truck is yours

Try one of the auction houses ( www.adesarigs.com ) and I am sure there are others. Pretty decent stuff that goes through there ( and some pretty crappy ) at least in Atlanta. One of the odd things was that to get in the auction you had to let them run your debit card for $1,000 - if you bought something it went against that, if not they just credited it back on your card when you left. It's the same place many used truck dealers go so you could find a pretty good deal if you were paying cash or had financing lined up to begin with.

Any auction won't finance a truck. You need to show up with credit or the money first.

And most "buy here, pay here" places buy cheap stuff because they know they if the deal does go bad, they don't want to lose an expensive truck, plus most buy the cheapest truck they can, they know people are desparate and will be stuck coming to them, plus their interest rates are higher, they've got you either way.

You will be better off going to a company and doing the L/P deal than buying a peice of junk that will be in the shop 5 days a week. All I have heard is complaints about the shaddy deals with buy here pay here shop. Most of them are scrap yard trucks that been fixed up enought to make it off the lot then its your problem

I'm with Plum Crazy....there's a shady outfit in MS that rents you a truck with about $7k down but it's not worth it....not even close. You're asking for it.

L/P deal if you have too or make payments to a owner and stay on his job. Q/C will put you in a truck and so will Celedon and Dart among others including Prime.

    Be careful and good luck......
