Hello All!! I have a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia Sleeper Cab. The other day after shutting down for the night i noticed a coolant leak right underneath the drivers side door. Upon closer inspection it appeared that the coolant hoses running from the bunk heater are the culprit. Does anyone know exactly what they are called cause I called Freightliner and what they wanted to sell me was a set of $231 hoses with steel attached and from what I see all I need are the rubber hoses. That’s it. Maybe I’m wrong but if someone on her can direct me as to exactly what I need in order to fix this I will be most appreciative. I’ve included pictures to show the hoses. All responses are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You don’t need the hard lines we normally replace heater hoses with the blue heater hose commonly available. Grab a string and use it to check length of both hoses . Measure string and buy a foot extra . A few worm clamps and you’re set . If you have heater taps shut them off and do repair if not drain some antifreeze into a clean container. PS it could be a loose clamp or heater core leaking . This work can be done anywhere or by yourself. No need to pay high shop rates any mechanic can handle it ..

You can just buy the hoses. Just be sure that the coolant is not leaking down from the sleeper heater core

Thanks…That’s why I came on here cause if I would have listened to the Good Folks at Freightliner I’d be $231 poorer and probably wouldn’t have the right part on top of that. I’m all about keeping my money in my pocket. It’s looks and feels way better than putting it in someone else’s pocket lol Thanks again!!!

Yes you are correct!! So we wound up looping the hoses together bypassing the heater to stop the leak. Problem solved. Then on my way home one of the coolant hoses that goes into Def header that I had issues with before lets loose. I’m assuming because of the previous leak above it that coolant leaked on the hose and caused the zip ties that were around it to slip off and all of my coolant leaked out!! Now I gotta go and buy $220 worth of coolant all because of these flimsy connectors and clamps!!! Smdh!!!
