this is a fairly new operation. they closed down the last union only plant in chattanooga, tn last month. show up early is all i have to tell you. if you arrive anywhere near 1:30 local time, be warned that they only have 2 people working the warehouse on second shift that starts at 2.
i got there last week at 1:33 for a 1:30 appt, they knew i was going to be a few minutes late. i had started at home here in chattanooga, loaded at kenco at 8am, was gone at 9am and went to la vergne tn for an immediate unload at 11:30 am that was scheduled for 12pm. had 2 more hours to get to decatur, got there 2 min past the appt time of 1:30 (central time) so it was 2:30 eastern. they remarked oh your here on time.
i was called on the phone at 1:45 and told to back in a door. at 8:25pm hey come out and wake me up saying im good to go. that is when i got the story about the 2 workers BS. its all good, 10 bucks an hour for every hour i was there.
its more of a punishment than a reward going there.
now in the morning, i have a 10 am appt in clevelenad TN to unload, then i have to go to decatur again. i will be there around the same time. 1:30. i wonder what excuse they will have for me tomorrow.
jerks.

Sounds just as bad as Anheseuer Busch in Baldwinsville, NY. I got there at 5:00 am, right on the money for on time appt. Got assigned a door around 7 am and finally was done getting loaded by their slow robots around 3:30 pm. Load was supposed to be in Michigan today at 3:30 pm. Guess who's gonna be late?

You run all around me. Who do you work for?
I use to have a regular run from Dayton to Double Springs, AL on the other side of Decatur years ago. You can't make money running that short stuff. I'd ask your boss to at least give you a flat minimum $150 day pay if that's all you do. I talked my company into that and surprisingly I was home by 3pm every day! -
we recntly picked up a local run from kenco that loads here in chatt, goes to la vergne tn. that is what i did fri. had a reload in clarksville that went to cleveland this morning. i drive for a small outfit in chattanooga, (check your PM for the name). we did great when the freight was local. i was knocking down 800 on a weekly basis and home 4 nights a week and off weekends.
the kenco load has helped. i am hopeful we can pick up more of that account and do more runs like that. its medical supply loads that have to be temp held at 68 to 75 degrees. dunno what the stuff is, i see it as they seal the doors.CondoCruiser Thanks this.
