If I understand, it is when you pull up to a cone and stop with your front bumper 2 feet behind the cone.
???
Only way I know is to practice a bit so you know where the front of your truck actually is. -
I suspect this is in regards to the "back in dock parK manuever". In California when I took the CDL driving test, one had to stop the rear of the trailer/truck within 18 inches of a 3 inch line on the ground.
My depth percerption is not that good, especially when I am tired, so I took a writing pen, laid it on the ground 9 inches to the rear of the trailer/truck DOT bumper and then marked a place in the my left mirror so that when the mark on the mirror came to the line on the ground "I STOPPED".
I still have a mark on my left mirror that I use everyday.
Good Luckslim shady Thanks this. -
Now that's slick!.....I like that. -
I took my test in a 379 with hood mirrors convex enough that you could see the ground in front of the bumper and the cone all in the mirror. Piece of cake with that setup.

I took a little rock and put it 90 degrees to my left.
The tricks are coming out. -
