well i looked at 6 different sites and none had a weight over 350 lbs
just looking at the Prime ones will show anyone with common sense that they are too short to really be effective

All of our trucks has either Mikmak or ali arc or herd.

Some of our guys did had moose encounters so far couples hundreds $$$ of welding jobs to give the moose bumpers his original look, but most important no downtime wich is critical in our line of work!!!

Friend of mine has an Aliarc on a T600, he hit something like 12 deer with it, no damage to the truck at all. The last one was a big buck and it did bend the bumper slightly, insurance company bought him a new bumper.

Another friend has a Herd bumper on a Western Star, got backed into at a truck stop by a van trailer, only a small gouge in the bumper.

These things may or may not look the best, and they aren't cheap, but the down time that they saved is priceless.

At first i didn't like the look of the moose bumpers, but now i am use to it.

Anyway we use to have classic trucks we now have modern fuel efficient machine so the bumpers was just common sense addition to our equipment.

I don't know what your version of common sense is, but deer don't fly. the short ones catch them in the legs and keep them out of the radiator or from taking out a whole hood and fenders. Usually eliminating damage or reducing to simple fiberglass repair. Trucks equipped with them are also usually driveable after hitting large animals, rather than having to be towed.

Common sense would tell you Prime doesn't put them on their trucks because they like to spend money. There's an article on them somewhere, you google it if you want to learn something. Or go buy a HERD for your company truck if you're allowed too.

I know I'd sleep a lot better driving at night if I had one, seen way to many deer since I started pulling this pig trailer around at night
