Bully Dog Turbo problems

Well after only 95,000 miles the Bully Dog turbo decided to go boom. Looks like the nut backed off of the impeller shaft which than snapped.Found pieces in the CAC but not in the intake so hopefully got it shut down in time.I run the mountains a lot and wouldn't you know it lets go in one of the flattest areas of the country with a relatively light load. I sure thought I would get more than 15 months and 95k out of it. I contacted both Bully Dog and Elite diesel, the shop that installed the turbo along with a manifold and tune and basically told I'm out of luck because it only has a 1 year warrantee. Needless to say time to stick with Cat parts.I guess if I was a harder runner in might have happened before the year was up.

 

Well I thought Bully Dog was a reputable builder but unfortunately I found out the hard way that they are not. For now it has a stock turbo on tell I find a suitable replacement than I guess I will keep this one as a spare. After spending the money on this one I'm not in to big a hurry to pull it off and have it just sit around. The truck is defiantly down on power a little but I'll live with that for now.
