There is a place in Vale South Dakota (just north of Sturgis) that makes aluminum bumpers for pickups and trucks. They are as good or better than the HERD bumpers but 1/2 the price. I had one put onto one of our Centurys and it has killed several dozen deer without and problems. I will get one for our 379 next fall.

The place is called Prairie Industries. They build bumpers for almost any truck you want. The owner has a T2000 that he uses to pull his horse trailer and it has a nice heavy aluminum bumper on it already.

At the time I am typing this it appears that their website is currently down. But give it a shot and see if you can see it.

(i guess i cant show you the website after all)

The place is really neat. Its on a farm in the country. When you get there you would think it was any ordinary family farm but when you go into the shop it is full of a bunch of biker looking guys. They are all cutting, welding and polishing bumpers as fast as they make them.

I have not spoken with them for awhile...so I do not know if they are still in business. Maybe they have discontinued their truck bumper line since I cannot find the website for them. Anyway....they will take your order and build your bumper and ship it to your door.

    Happy cattle taste better.

I figured out how to attach stuff. Just to show you that they do make good bumpers I have a picture of that one we put on the Century.

Just to give you an idea on cost, that Herd bumper on the Volvo, is $3,200 without install for a Mack Pinnacle, other models are +/- about $300.00 when I looked into one.

That's what Mik Mak said. It's $3,000 for the bar and another $200 to make the forward tilt on it.They said that the T2000 bar will be to low to put a rake on the bottom of it.

I'll be getting one in April after I decide on the tractor I want.
