So my brother and I are looking at putting up a new truck shop for our rigs. We currently have a barn for our farm eqiupment and do all our repairs there but dirt floor/wood rafters it gets us out of the rain but then our trucks sit out when not fixing them.
We was looking at a steel frame building. 2 bay. Drains in concreate because I want a hot water pressure washer so I can wash the salt off my truck in the winter. Just a nice building we can park them but yet work on them. Maybe little office to the side. What a 40 x 40? 30x 40? steel building cost roughly? I know you can't be exact... you don't know all the variables but how do your like yours.. etc??

    Thanks.

If the barn is good why not pour a concrete floor with a couple deains? Unless you just need something bigger.

No matter how big you build, it'll never be enough. 30 wide by 40 deep would be a little narrow IMO for 2 trucks by the time you put in work benches, shelves and tool boxes. Also go with 14' wide doors. 12' wide will only give you about 8-10 inches of room on each side of the mirrors. Its doable though.

What about expanding the barn and fix the floor

we got to much farm equipment.. turning that into our storeage shed and have a repair shop... We can't fit everything in as it is now and we just put a 100' lean to on the side of it already. And location. Where the barn sits we can't really add on anymore.

hmm agreed.. now I think about it. You would want atleast a 40' wide shop at very least

Why don't you contact someone who actually builds them who can tell you what you need and what drainage you will have to put in for what you want to do.

It'll cost anywhere between $4,000 and 40 million, depends on what you want.
