Hello. I have worked on trucks for about 6 years and got into CAT working on machines.
I would like to get into another place for some extra income and experience driving.
So, I was wondering if anybody knew anything about Budweiser? I live in NW Ohio and we have a distribution center nearby. I was told they hire for dedicated runs to the Columbus Distribution Center on weekends. When I went to Budweiser to ask about this.. The lady at the desk didnt seem too interested in anything I had to say and denied me any information on the spot. From here, I am unsure where to go or who to talk to.
Does anybody have any information or ideas? Thank you!

Who's day cabs are parked there? I know Werner, Transport America, and Fleet Master run alot of AB loads into Pittsburgh with day cabs, coming from OH. That is who you need to talk to, the companies that haul the loads. They come out of Columbus with the loads. So most likely, they are the ones running the shuttles.

I was told they were Budweiser or Munich (seems to be affiliated with the Toledo distribution center) day cabs that haul pallets down to Columbus and bring beer back. Drop and hook. Everything is in state LTL. Ill have to check back and maybe talk to a driver instead of some lady at the desk...
I think I may have found some work in the TA nearby. It isnt driving, but its something. Its sad when you have to go to these measures to get by anymore. Cost keeps going up, the pay stays the same, and the hours in the day arent getting any longer.
Thanks for any info. Ill update what I do find out. -
I know Gypsum Express hauls out of the Syracuse NY plant with their van trailers. I see them up and down I79 alot and at one beer distributor in Pittsburgh. I do not know if they go to Ohio or not but they have a Moundsville WV (Wheeling area) yard that you could call and see if they do anything with the Columbus plant.

I'm in Columbus. Most of the trucks I see are Werner in/out of the brewery pulling Bud trailers.
There is however a distributor that has AB on the door I think. They are based really close to the brewery. Columbus Distirbuting Company is the name. Looks like they only do Central Ohio area though. -

Werner handles most of the dedicated loads going out of the brewery. There were a couple brand new drivers on the account when I was there but if you are from up around toledo you may be outside of the hiring area. Paid 30 cents per mile, no detention pay, slip seat. I don't know what the otr Budweiser drivers get paid.
