Anyone have any updated information on Brown Trucking?? I'm an Owner Op looking for a new carrier that can get me home often as my 1st son was born Acouple weeks ago so want to get home more often and figured since I live around Atlanta, may be a good choice to get a Georgia based company. Any info anyone can share it is greatly appreciated!! Thank You!!

I can tell you they have a yard here in Lexington, SC and they are ALWAYS hiring company drivers. I have no idea what it's like for an o/o but obviously they have a problem keeping company drivers, and from what I seen they are a pretty small outfit, at least in Lexington anyway.

Good luck driver, and nice W9!

Depends on what terminal you're hauling from. They have so many accounts in the SE. I ran for Brown outta Richmond and it was terrible. Truly outlaw and still didn't Avg over 2000 miles a week for the month I was there. They're always looking for drivers here in Richmond too. You'll probably be better off leasing to an Container outfit in and around Atlanta

I worked for them as a Local guy out of the Rock Tenn plant in Stevenson, AL as a company driver. They started out with a guarantee that went away after 2 months and then the miles were so low that I had to quit. Your loads are mostly going to be roll stock, scrap cardboard, or corrugated boxes. Most of the time you are going to be heavy, and a lot of the time you are going to be top heavy. When I was there a year ago they were having a hard time keeping any kind of driver. As far as Im concerned the pay was too low for anyone to make a decent living. Your results may vary though.
