I guess it's a big company, but I called the one on Denver,CO about running for them, home every day, but running the I70 corridor, which I have done more time than I can count but still don't like it much. Run their plates, on site fuel, insurance and their trailer. Pay is only on com data and I think the person said average about 45_5k a month. I havnt found anything on them and havnt really had time to do all of the math. Just seeing what an average monthly income might be.

I haven't leased to them, but I have pulled their loads though a brokerage. It pays decent, but sometimes they don't use our truck and the TONU is lousy for wasting a whole day and being unable to take other loads on the board. I'm not sure if they operate their drivers leased to them in the same manner. They weren't allowed to tell me what they paid the broker, so maybe they pay more to their drivers.
Anyway, you'll probably be doing a lot of King Sooper loads, and the docks are pretty tight in some of the City Markets in the mountain towns. They are really good about directions and telling you the best way to approach the stores and docks. The dispatchers have been professional and friendly. For us, it was a flat pay for the day, so some days were better than others.
The trailers aren't in the best of shape, and there was one day that both of my preloaded trailers had problems with the tandem sliding system. One was totally missing the bar, so I had to use a ratchet strap to slide the tandems. The other I had to remove the cotter pin and washer to reinstall it in the correct position in order to fully retract the pins.
From what I can see, they're a decent company, but I'm not on the inside and might be missing the whole picture. Most trucks I see there are kind of dated, so I don't know if that's a reflection of how they pay or just their drivers' preference to run paid off or cheaper equipment.Coloradoman Thanks this. -
It don't seem like they pay all that great. All of my experience is in flatbed and step deck. Home every night would be nice, but don't think I want to run my truck up and down those passes all of the time, seems like it deteriorates them a lot faster lol.

I looked in to it as well and found it to be not very great and a lot of deadhead. I also agree with you when your loaded 45k all the tome and going up over to Dillion or any of those towns it will for sure put a toll on your equipment. I also looked in to hauling sandbox but quickly changed my mind as my truck is a pavement queenColoradoman Thanks this. -
Yeah I'm having a hard time finding a company to go with. I applied at general, Mercer and landstar. Havnt got any word back yet.

If you do that make sure they have allowances for pulling that box empty on the snow and wind in Colorado, running them hills empty in the summer is great but winter time you want weight, plus be prepared in Colorado they love to load you up to the axle weights in that state which allows a few thousand pounds on state roads.
Coloradoman Thanks this. -
