Is there any current drivers or previous employed drivers here that work for Brinks doing the OTR (TT).
I know it's a team operation,out 2 weeks,off 1.
Pay cpm split-need to confirm with recruiter.
24hr layover at cosignee.
It's a dedicated account,Philadelphia-Flordia.
Have to obtain permits for firearm, and training.
Don't know what type of equipment they use (TT) recruiter did not know the specs of the truck
Any information would be much appreciated.

buddyd157 Thanks this. -
I only ever saw a brinks truck/trailer one time at the 76 in n. Little rock in the 80's parked. Never saw the drivers or any obvious "escort". Tractor was armored like the city 6 wheelers you see making pick-ups and both truck/trailer were the drab grey color.
jraulpilot1998 Thanks this. -
Western does that too! They actually have armored tractor trailers! That would be a cool gig. Driving a big truck with bullet proof glass!
-
Yeah, but it's a bummer when you would like to roll the window down...chompi Thanks this. -
they wont tell you the specifics. you need to contact brinks.
to tell you the specifics thell have to kill you. Its for security reasons that it is not given. -
I got the pun, but actully it's very warm/hot in there. The sun beats thru the glass and it seems like your in an oven.
I drove single axle trucks up and incl a big truck and we NEVER had our name on the side of the trl.We used to run from Western NY to Phil. or into N.J sometimes. When your in a "labeled" truck DOT always waves ya thru
Never did see one of them black choppers -
i drove for dunbar, just with my class c, those things are so #### heavy they have zero suspension. obviously no windows, in fact no fresh air to breathe, they recycle old stale air, top it off with a very ###### ride and you'll get car sick real quick. they also polygraph you as well
-
The straight trucks can be real squirrely too.
The polygraph machine they hooked me up to looked like some antique from "The Rockford files". --Wood-grain, Heath Kit looking thing. Afterwards he said I failed a question regarding stealing from family members! Found out later from the other guys they were accused of the same thing! LoL. Two of us got a job, so the accusation must have been BS...
What I thought was interesting is before even hooking me up to the machine we went over the questions and how I was going to answered them. THEN he hooked me up and asked the same questions again. -
I am the dispatcher for the Brinks OTR Tractor Trailerdivision.
I have all the details you need but I would rather not postdetails that might compromise the safety of my drivers over the internet. Feelfree to contact me with any questions. David.Hall@Brinksinc.com
What I can post is that it is a team driving position. Youwill have to be able to be able to obtain an Armored Car Security OfficerLicense. We pay you .238 cents a mile for every mile the truck moves weather youor your co-driver is driving. We start paying down time the instant you setthe park brake at every stop. Our average week is about 6000 miles. 6000 X .238= $1428 average + Down time every week you work.
We offer a 2 weeks on and 1 week off schedule. If you wantmore miles I will work you every week you want.
All of our trucks are on a 30 month lease so you wont haveto deal with old equipment. Our trailers are slightly smaller and easier to maneuverthan most.
We have medical, dental, vision, 401K benefits plus sick andvacation pay.
The tractor trailer division is based out of Salt Lake City,UT with 14 trucks. We have one truck based out of TX, and another in Ohio thatwe currently need a driver for. Plus we are trying to get a crew based out ofPhiladelphia, PA. All truck run the lower 48 states.
