I have to deliver in Bridgeview Illinois early Monday. I've never been to this place before and am wondering if it's a safe area. I can't get in touch with the consignee on the weekend and can't find any drivers who have been there. I can see on google earth that I will have no issues parking there overnight if I want but would like to find out about the area. There is one huge trailer park it looks like right across the road. I'd rather go in at night and only have to deal with morning traffic on the way out but not sure about the area.
Btw google earth street view is an amazing tool. I have to go under one bridge to get where I'm going the easy way and using google earth I know it's not a low bridge.

I never go to that city again.
I parked at the delivery point where I had parked before. Previously the other side of the road had a no parking sign. It was a dead end on the delivery side of the road and parking was always there according to the receiver.
During the night, received a 25.00 parking ticket. Could not figure it out. Walked down the dead end street and saw the no parking sign where no one can possibly drive. -
Yes, It's as safe as anywhere else. The mayor of Chicago lives in Bridgeview.
-
That does not really say much considering that Jane Byrne tried living in Carbini Green when she was mayor.

Bridgeport is a neighborhood in the city, Bridgeview is a south burb. -
Tinytim, which way you coming in?
I may have suggestions. -
Coming down through Michigan hitting I94/I294 to Exit 17 which will put me a a few blocks from where I'm dropping. I've driven by the area a few times but never had a reason to stop. You know a good place to park on the way?
-
Rail spur and thousands of trailers, so you should find something. -
Ok thanks. Looks like there's a couple big yards close by. I should be fine parking at the receiver but if for some reason it doesn't feel safe I'll try to hit one of the yards close by. I'm sure the big ones have security though and probably aren't too quick to allow you in if you don't have business there.

Good luck.
