I was curious and looked on Bridgestone website. It’s described as an all position tire that is recommended for the steer position. I never payed attention to the descriptions. Seems odd to be described that way being the steer position is most important. Maybe its just me?

On my Volvos nothing lasts on steer besides Michelin and Continental.
    Bridgestones are gone at 80-90k

baha, Siinman and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Thats interesting and odd. You would think as long as it was a quality tire there would be some closer consistency in wear.

I know it's strange, I got 4 older Volvo, also tried Yoko and Firestone, same story, kept changing them at or before 100k miles.
My mechanic thinks it's because Volvos are just front heavy.

    JoeyJunk and Siinman Thank this.

I did ok with the Michelin's on steers but not impressed with the price. I changed to now Hankook but will not have enough miles to see how they hold up before truck is sold. I do have the 13,200 front axle on both trucks.

I'm just opposite on my Volvo's, 16 ply Bridgestones last me far longer than any others. On the FL's they last just as long as the Michelin's

What kind of mile are you getting on the Bridgestones?

Depends on what they're doing. LTL's to the east coast maybe 100, they are over curbs, tight turning ect. going to CA and back 160-170.
Haven't tried the 213's yet. Independent tire guy called a few days ago with them for $502 but they were 14 ply
