I'll try to keep this short.
I Bought 2 Bridgestone ecopia 283s steers November 2020, truck went into service 01/06/2021. The passenger side started showing some wear on the outside edge. Alignment good, shocks replaced, all other aspects of the front end good. Truck tracks straight down the road, no pull to either side. GCR tire tells me it's my truck. I disagree, they don't care.
Fast forward to 06/02/2021 I take the truck to my alignment guy because now the tire is bad. He goes over everything confirming all is good, the wear on the tire is not anything he has seen regarding front end alignment and tells me most likely the tire is out of round, I agree. By now the tires have about 42k on them. Back to GCR that same day to buy a new tire and have them send the bad one to bridestone for warranty. Follow up monthly and all I get are excuses. I tell them companies have to quit making excuses and blaming everything on covid, crappy customer service is crappy customer service. Finally this week, over 6 months later I get an email from my follow up email sent over the holidays. Bridestone, offered a $75 credit, WTF?! GCR at least went back to them telling them not good enough, they came back with an extra $100! Really, $175 credit for a $600 tire with 42k miles on it? As a side note, the newer tire that now has about 65k on it and the other around 105k both look perfect, no indication of any wear.

2022 Wabash dry van with Continental HT3's top of the line tire. Both insides on drivers side start showing wear. I monitor it, call TEC who sold me the trailer. They suggest it's the weight I'm carrying, I say really? 44k 3xs a month and the rest of the time 8k to 26k? BS! I take the trailer in and have everything gone over under warranty other than alignment which I paid for myself, it's out 1/16 within spec and no other problems. So I carry on and by December the tires are looking bad. I call Industrial Tire because they handle continental, they give me the phone number for the regional sales manager, we make an appointment for 01/09/2022. We meet up, he looks at the tires says with wear on one side he would expect something on the other side, tires could have been mounted incorrectly or are out of round, the wear is unusual for these tires and doesn't normally see any issues with them. At any rate he says, tires are still under warranty and I'll replace both of them for you, let me see if I can find any and I will be in touch. Two days later he sends me an email that he could not find any tires locally so he had to order them for me. They will be sent to industrial tire where I can make arrangements to have them changed out. He will let me know when the tires arrive. At this time, the tires have about 115k miles on them, all handled in about 1/2 hour. THAT is customer service!

I needed 8 new drive tires, you might guess what brand I bought.

The first 3 pictures of the steer is about an 18" wear area in three separate photos. The continental tire pictures were taken about 6 months ago and the dished out area times 3 are really deep while the rest of the inside is smooth like the picture only worse.

I'm just a guy with a truck so me not doing business with Bridgestone won't hurt them at all but I am tired of dealing with companies in this industry and over all that make it difficult to do business with them, or simply don't give a sh**!

I've seen that rivering pattern on cheap Chinese tires before but that weird one in the center of the tread is crazy. That's got warranty written all over it. Bridgestone is a dirt bag company anyway and their repulsive "warranty" issues are well known.

Let us know how the new ones turn out. Hopefully the same thing doesn’t happen and it was indeed the tires.

My continentals on the trailer are doing the same. Crap tires - that’s it. Good for you they actually replaced them. It’s very typical for this tire do do this. Go Michelin for steers forget about these problems.

That's good to know, thanks. What brand tires are you using or going to use for your trailer?

When you say you replaced shocks, did you replace the shocks on the drive axles or just the steer?

All the way around, about once a year or more if needed. Cheap insurance/maintenance doing it myself.

Bridgestone R250ED is what works best for me on a spread axle trailer. R123’s also, but they don’t last as long. These tires just wear round and even.

I do see that you had bad experience with Bridgestone on your steers. In my opinion they make best trailer tires. For steers just go Michelin, everything else is a waste of time and money.

My Bridgestone tires throw chunks. Going all Michelin, have always had great luck with them.
