In what way? Care to elaborate?

 

They convince you to work as lease owner operator for 3 weeks then payment never comes and they fire you, I know several times they did it stay away from them, their recruiters aggressively calling people trying to scam everyone

In that way

 

Lease Owner Operators = Setup for disaster.

1st. They own the truck you're just renting it from them before it can be paid off.

2nd. They are providing you the work TOO!..
WHAT?...

It's better you just drive their truck because it's less financial loss and responsibility. Or lease it on your own so you can leave and control what you want to do as a Owmer Operator.

3rd. They usually give you some of the worse calls (P&D's) because you now are covering the responsibilities for their truck. So, they aren't losing as much oppose to their fully owned ones.

 

I had all but convinced myself to enter a lease, but I’m not now. The pay failure is one thing, but I’ll not tolerate people aggressively calling me. It’s just not in my DNA. I’m very fragile emotionally.

 

Yeah that’s a great idea.

 

Some of them can shut the truck off now. The idea good though.

 

Make sure you block that truck in so they can't drive it or hook to it with a wrecker when they track it down. Keep it on private property too.
