Hey folks,my son just bought an old van for extra storage for his farm, and i went to pick it up for him yesterday and i'm purty sure the brake pads are rusted to the drums.I have tried breaking 'em free with the hammer/pri bar (got the bloody knuckles to prove it) but i'm not having any luck. I know the trailer has only been sitting for a couple of months,so i can't figure out how they could have rusted that tight, that quick. I tried rocking back and forth, but the trailer tires just slide since it's empty. I was hoping to avoid useing the torch, but i'm running out of options. Any thoughts or advise would be much appreciated
. Thanks

The air cannisters have a lock out device to bypass the air supply. Did you try that? Assuming you dont have good airlines. Otherwise you need to unadjust the slack adjusters and back off the brakes.

Just keep beatin on them! Either that, or you will have jack up the axle, remove the tires and beat on the drum with a sledge hammer.

yes--that tight after just a couple of months doesnt seem right---construction trailers lots of times may sit a job site for a year or more--then get pulled out and do ok--well ok the lights probabely dont work--but the wheels will turn at least

Why do I get the feeling that you crossed your air lines?????
Feeding air to the Blue application line will keep the brake on. -
