I have a 2012 freightliner cascadia, my brake lights are staying on. I replaced the brake light pressure switch and they still stay on. Any recommendations?

Does the cascadia use a switch on the brake pedal itself. I now the older business class cabs do. If it does the switch is either out of adjustment ( not touching pedal to click it off) or bad contacts inside it stuck in on position.

I've heard brake lights staying on can be a symptom of a bad ground wire.

Do your trailer brake lights also stay on?

When you unplug the pressure switch do the brake lights go out?

Do you get rain water on your firewall near the SAM Chassis (driver's side)?

There is a light control module behind the switch panel that the 4 way flasher switch is in and it goes bad , mine with installation at a freightliner dealer was less than 200.00.
When mine went bad I had no brake lights .

No, trailer lights work perfect. Unplugging the pressure switch the lights stay on. No rain water, but it occurred after I had the exterior washed and the rear ended degreased, hood was not opened.

The rain pan under the windshield has a two sided sticky gasket between it and the fire wall. If you have ever had it off the gasket is ruined and will not reseal. I like to run a silicone bead along the top to seal it. Bizarre light behavior can be caused by water in the SAM Chassis. Do you have a way to check for codes? Do you ever see water on the firewall?
