We charge about the same thing as Bender stated.

    100.00 for drum
    45-50 for shoes and kits
    45.00 labor per wheel

Unless you have wide shoes/drums or inboards.

Steer shoes are usually a little more.

There are several places that will do shoes and hardware for 199.00 an axle. A drum will cost you 100 to 150 a piece. I would be looking at changing out wheel seals at this time also as you are right there. Also get those slack adjusters and air cans inspected closely.

I had 2 cracked drums, so i had the TA in Eloy, AZ just change them. They charged $225 for each drum, and $275 for the pads installed. No install charge for the drums since they were coming off anyways.

An outside shop would be MUCH cheaper. KW/PETE has TRW drums on sale till Dec 31st for $109 each

Got all drives shoes/pads only for 275. Labor and parts. Next go around will do drums as they were within spec. Its nice having a co mechanic on tap for our trucks. Outside trucks, mechanic charges accordingly.

I'm looking at my bill from 11/04 @ TA in Seymour, IN. looks like 268.99 for one axle on trailer plus environmental fee of 20.00, minus 15.00 NASTC member savings. It looked like they put new drums, shoes, and spring kits on but I don't really see anything except shoes on the bill.

The shoe prices must be for relined not new. Just did mine in August, new shoes and kits where $94.30 for 20k shoes and drums where $96.95.. Cost $765. total for all the shoes, spring kits and drums. Did it myself took 2 days but i sanded and painted the frame also and put new shocks on. Can get relined from $45 to $65 a kit but for me they only last about half the time as the new ones do. If you have a shop of dealer around here do the work labor rates are between $95 and $130. an hour.

    Per wheel end:

$190 for Meritor Steelite centrifuse drums
$50 Meritor platinumshield II shoes with hardware (3 year rust jacking warranty)
    ~$20 s-cam hardware
    $70 s-cam
    $30 wheel seal
$80 Haldex lifeseal brake chamber (7 year warranty)

That's up over $400 per wheel end when I do my brakes. I usually just test the slacks and put them back on, rarely do they actually fail. They're easy to change anyways. Usually after this my next brake job will be just the shoes and wheel seal. Always do the wheel seal! And make sure the s-cam and s-cam bushings aren't worn. If they are everything has to come apart including a new wheel seal since they cannot be reused. I'd rather not do the labor twice for cheap parts that should've been replaced in the first place.

Re-lining a brake isn't bad as long as you get good shoes.

BTW, you can reuse a wheel seal, but I'd only do it in an emergency situation... I've done it with the push in seals.
