+1 on the Webb balanced drums. Worth the extra money.

I got Fleetpride in house brand balanced cast hubs for about $90 apiece back in Jan. Made in the USA by Webb. No shakes everything is in balance perfectly.

I found it interesting when I bought a new truck that the brakes and drums lasted a long time vs a 2 yr old used truck and they didn't. The difference was that the new truck had steel drums commonly called centrifuge drums and the used truck had cast iron drums. There were other differences as well. One was weight, the cast iron drums were heavier and didn't disburse the heat as well as the steel drums which meant that they didn't last as long. There are a million things to look at when you're replacing brakes. The information is out there you just have to look for it.

Im certainly not spending $350 per Drum for Webb products-That's just too much- Get em around $100 then we'll talk

To the Op- If its really driving you crazy- Try Something that might slow the out of balance , Maybe Remove the drums and Swap to other axles- And when you install them-Install each drum the same way-using a reference on each drum,ad make sure your shoes aren't getting eaten up prematurely from this- Might as well rotate your tires also- Try it- Couldn't hurt

I have had some tears on my end with similar experiences.

And people in the shop wonder why I spec this item or that item in particular. Because they work.

Hang in there. You will find peace when that truck is feeling good during stopping.

I would also consider the ability to either hold thermal energy or dispense of it. Mountains have a way of glazing or cooking drums.

I might be mistaken about who makes them but they are made in the USA. Most of these brand name parts also get sold as in house brands for places like Fleetpride under their own label. Same part for less money. I only gave $90 apiece for them. They're balanced and have the milling machine marks on them. Made in the USA.

I am going to swap out the ones on the steer axle with Webbs and see if that helps first. I jacked up each side and rotated the wheel and you can see they are out of round when you watch the brake surface. Got me thinking about what Baja mentioned about wrong drums. I don't have my old ones anymore and didn't cross reference them either. Just gave the last 6 of my VIN at the dealer and told them what I wanted.
