Boom/crane truck drivers.

When I had my business up home I "rescued" an old Hiab knuckle boom, rebuilt it and mounted it on my truck. An extremely useful tool for my particular business and I used the heck out of it. Taught myself how to use it but I had used log loaders and other hydraulic equipment before.

So I just got to wondering how such would work down here. Do you require any special training/licencing to use such a setup? Just curious.
