Im wondering if there are any drivers out there that are working or have worked for Bolus fright from Scranton,PA. They have local jobs, and I was wondering what kind of money their local drivers are making. I know they do not have the newest, nicest equipment, but being home nightly and on the weekends is more of a priority for me right now.

I talked to them yesterday. They are starting at .35/mile now. $10 per stop. I will be home everynight. They do have quite a few options for work (local, regional, OTR). Talked to a driver who just recently left, only because it wasn't enough money for him (local work), but he said they weren't bad to work for.

Run for your life!!! These guys are crooks starting at the top with Ed and Joe Bolus ! Equitment is crap, every week your paycheck is short and when you question it they will screw you with every run they can. Bob the so called driver manager has no BALLS at all and doesn't stand up for the drivers and after the first contact about an issue he will hide from you and your calls! You will not get your $300 escrow money back either, they will go through old route sheets and find made up reasons not to pay you , such as out of route miles or so called late stops or any reason they can not to pay you ! They need the $ to pay for their corvettes and BMWs as drivers drive around in bed bug infested death traps!

I have been with them for about a month and a half now.
Let me start by letting you know that I am a driver who gets from point A to point B as quick as possible. I do not stop at every rest area and service plaza I see. I bring food and drink and only stop if its necessary.
My first week was slow, a trial I assume to see what my work ethic was. My first check was wrong, because I did not fill out my trip pack right. They cut me a check immediately to fix it and explained what I did wrong. I have had no issues since then, all my checks have been correct.
I never tell my dispatcher no, whenever he asks me about doing a run, I do it.... Which apparently is no common with their drivers.
After my first week, I have not grossed any less than $900 a week. I am home every night, and they keep me busy. I run a 2001 Mack with 1.2 miles. I had a small issue with the mirror heater, it was fixed before I was back out the next morning. I had a bigger issue, broke down on the road, and the truck was fixed before I got back to the yard that night.
They have treated me well, but like any trucking company, I think that has a lot to do with driver attitude.... It's a 2 way street. Perfect? No.... But they are keeping food on my table, and I don't mind the occasional long day to get things done.
    Just my 2 cents.

I am running mostly TJ Maxx ,Gap and beer runs in PA,NY,NJ,DE, and MD. I'm home every night and on the weekends. I'm sure if I wanted to stay out, I'd be making more. They are still running out of Syracuse, not sure what runs out of there though, because I do not go out of there.

Any info on Bolus would be appreciated. Like what does there orientation and training consist of. Im coming out of school in a couple weeks. Hoping to run out of Syracuse. Type if equipment? Elogs? Orientation and training pay? Heard something like 150.00 a week for training.
