ive got a chance to buy a 05Ravens all aluminum 48/102. The guy says the 5th wheel plat needs to be replaced soon. Not sure how bad it is, if it will last 6 months or a year. I can buy the trailer under book, it has a cones toga kit. Is this a deal breaker, cause of the plate, where I assume it didn't get greased enough? Thanks in advance for you wisdom. Cones togas are hard to find in good shape, and I need to get to work!

I do wonder just how expensive it is to have it replaced?

I dont no diddly squat about any of that.
So if it was me I'd be trying to get concrete answers. Probably start by watching 2 hours of you tube videos. Just to see what all is involved.
Then with the knowledge gained from the videos. (At least I no what the parts are called, and where there located)
I would (preferably) go, or call at least 3 different trailer repair places. (Places that were, far, far, far ,away from each other). Like over 50-100 mile far away.
Now with a decent price range, of best and worse case, repair or replacement.
I could determine for myself! If it was a deal breaker.
But that's me, I dont trust people . So in rder to make an informed decision. I prefer whenever possible to get my own information. (Especially when it's free, but lack thereof could be expensive, VERY EXPENSIVE)Last edited: Sep 24, 2018
