It looks like it’s the beginning of the end of this place as we knew it… Hopefully I’m wrong but the changes I’ve seen parked here last night. Make me think otherwise… They completely redid the interior put in a krispy chicken fast food It took out the shop area where they sold different merchandise like clothes, etc. and the restaurant is now closed at night. Looks like new ownership has taken over.

Ouch, I have not been since last year but stop every time out that way. Loved the place and hope they do not change much.
Flat Earth Trucker and Concorde Thank this. -
It might have been bought out by someone from India. Everytime I stop there they are the only ones working the store side of things.
drvrtech77, Siinman and Concorde Thank this. -
Not good…. That was my favorite stopping point on my way in and out of Oregon and Washington.

The last couple of years the service and the food wasn't up to the standard that impressed me the first time stopped there 13 years ago.
A lot of my favorite stops have been slipping the last few years. The Armadillo in Bowie and Dotties in Cuba even before the TA.bzinger, TheLoadOut and Siinman Thank this. -
Stopped there a month ago, went I, prepaid $500 worth of fuel, East Indian behind the counter then tells me he’s keeping my credit card till after I fill because their pumps aren’t metering the correct amount of fuel and they might have to charge me more because the pumps are putting out more gallons then they are reading, I told him I don’t think so, how do I know I’m getting what I paid for, maybe your pumps are shorting the customers. Took my card back and left, will not go back, it’s now a third world dump just like they have back where they came from.

Yes, I think it's under new ownership. Haven't seen anything particularly worrisome, yet.
Let's be honest, it's been sliding slowly down hill for decades. When I first came through there in the late eighties it was already starting to look a little frayed around the edges. It's harder and harder for truckstops that don't cater to the megas and rely on independents to make it.
The good news is that the Travelers Oasis at exit 182 was completely redone; it was from a similar time period and also really showing it's age. Glad to see it stayed independent and didn't go the way of the Gearjammer in Mountain Home and sell out....Oxbow, Flat Earth Trucker, ElmerFudpucker and 2 others Thank this. -
That sucks because it was literally a stagecoach stop before it was a truck stop. That's how long it's been there.

Further west across from a pilot there's a nice one that I found that had a jersey Mike's in it. I've googled jersey Mike b4 hoping I could get into one. Didn't even know this had one til I walked in. -
I was in there once in 1988, and wasn't really impressed. Surprised it was still going....
