    Hello fellow truckers.

I am currently bobtailed in Vegas parked at a Truck Stop and I have many questions.

Can bobtails travel legally through Vegas?

Since I cannot pick up my load until the following day, where can I park my bobtail if I want to visit the strip?

A friend mentioned the Orleans would be a great place to park my bobtail legally and to hop on the shuttle bus. Can I do that?

Do we, as truckers, get discounts in Vegas?

Thank you for your prompt response.

A bunch of the casinos actually have truck parking. Hard Rock, Rio, Mandalay Bay has a big lot next to it that I've parked in. Also the Orleans has a big truck parking area it's a little ways to the strip from there though. Hard Rock is my recommendation, just call the casino you're interested in and ask for security. They will tell you how to get in.

Yes, you can bobtail anywhere in any state, just be aware you need mud flaps in some states when doing so, as in Ca. No discounts for truck drivers as far as I know. (possibly for a hotel/motel rate) A lot of the strip hotels can accommodate trucks. Some have such huge parking lots that parking in the back area is OK. Orleans does have truck parking officially and Mandalay Bay, across the strip has a hugh dirt lot with trucks parking there.

Just park at the Wild Wild West Casino at Tropicana and Dean Martin. The parking is free for overnight parking despite what the signs say. You can confirm this with the security guard. From their you can walk to the strip. I highly recommend avoiding the Strip and taking a 20 dollar cab ride to The Fremont Street Experience. Fremont was the original Strip and IMO a much more fun atmosphere without all the geeky tourists.

But like Al was saying almost all of the casinos have truck parking. Vegas is a fun place and the party never stops. It's kind of cool when your tossing back a few beers with friends and then you realize......it's 8am on MONDAY morning. Good times!

i always like the smaller, off strip casinos.particular the station casinos around henderson.of course around the big casinos, you have the all day buffett pass that you can use at multiple casinos, which is nice.

Palace Station has truck and trailer parking
They are off the strip, across interstate from Circus Circus.
    They have trucker rate.
Also have a shuttle service that will take you to either end of the strip, and Fremont street.
One of the best buffets in town too.

Get on google earth and you can scope out the parking lots. When I was there, I walked from one end to the other a couple times. I noticed many trucks one block south of the strip behind the casino's. That seemed to be where most of the truck and RV's were. Lose about $5,000 and they'll give you all kinds of comps. :)
