Howdy! I searched Google and this forum to no avail - does anyone have experience with parking a bobtail tractor at an RV park? I’ve used RV parks for a 5th wheel camper and wanted to see if anyone took their 34 hour reset at an RV park driving bobtail.

    Thanks in advance!

You have money? They want money, they probably will not like idling or a mess being made

Makes sense - lot fees aren’t necessarily cheap (when I lived in my 5th wheel it was $720/month for the lot). Keeping the mess under control wouldn’t be an issue - I learned how to keep tidy aboard a submarine and when I was living in a 5th wheel. Good thoughts all around, thanks

Nothing says you can't. If you have not already got one get a RV guide and if you see one you might be interested in call em. If there is any issues the RV park operator should let you know.

would be nice if they have shore power or just carry some extension cords.

The very first thing I wanted to do when I finally bought my own truck was decorate my sleeper-fort and spend the night in there. Figured I'd take the old lady and our dogs on a camping trip. No KOA anywhere near us would allow it unless, get this, we were towing a fifth wheel camper. Bobtail alone was a no-go. We ended up at turnpike rest area. It was still a great feeling to wake up knowing it was all mine though!

@Crossbones - That comes as a bit of a surprise given that from what I’ve seen, amenities aboard tractors nowadays are similar to *some* class b/c RVs on the market (minus the toilet and with some the tv/microwave/fridge). Thanks for the input

Mind you I didn't check every campground. Just the few near where we wanted to be. Got the same response from all of them.

Many campgrounds have policies against commercial vehicles, even some bus conversions. I travel often outside of trucking and have found very few campsites that allow non-traditional rv's.
