I'm trying to install a blow gun in my companies truck but I'd rather not cut the line. Both seats have this splicer(?) Thing on them. Anyone know how to take that off so I can install my gun? That way when I leave this truck I can take my gun and put that back on.

push the grey collar towards the center to loosen. It helps to drain out some air pressure first.

    Grubby Thanks this.

I tried draining air earlier and doing the Chinese finger trap deal on it m still didn't release.

That other thing I think hooks to air tools. Has the same connections my compressor at home has.

The hose should pull out once the collar is pushed in. Time to swear at it a few times.

Does your company allow a blowgun? Eventually, it'll be in the shop. If yes, browse the better truck part stores at TA, etc for pieces and parts. I had a tow that busted a seat airline 15 minutes after he left me at Carlisle J. I was pretty po'd. It was 17 outside and blowing air into the cab. There's all kinds of parts to get but my company made me wait 2 hrs for roadside. $300 for a $10 fix.
Just saw your post. Good job!!

Why not just hook it to the quick connect in that picture?

Better than what? A kick to the groin? I would go to a stealership before going to any chain truck stop for parts.

The hose I have doesn't seem to connect to the quick connect thing. Atleast I couldn't figure it out. Got it up and running though.
