Bison is one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies. I would read your contract agreement entirely. Most likely you will have a 90 day holdback. The holdback is just them covering their ###, in the event you had unreported driving incidents, freight claims, repairs and fuel costs. Most insurance in Canada is paid in full for the year, upon registration/plates. If you're registered and insured in Manitoba, the insurance will be pro-rated, and refunded to the Carrier. You may have to pay for insurance you haven't even used. You can contact MPI and ask general questions about refunds. If Bison is self-insured, again...read your contract.
I highly doubt you're being screwed out of money. Be patient, and get on with another carrier asap. As you may have $0 income for approx. 2 months.

I have been with Bison 13 years. Have never had a paycheck stolen from me. Had mistakes a few times and it was always corrected. Even then it was rare. Are they perfect? No. You won't find many perfect companies, if any. Over all I find Bison good to work for.

A very serious claim that they are stealing a paycheck and not following their separation procedures! They've got over 1,000 trucks - for them to be violating their handbook on this is actually major - this is canda and you've got a bunch of options to use to get the money owed.

Some drivers totally lie about the process on a short notice quit (bonus repayments etc) but as long as you are sure you should have been paid per deal with them I would follow-up and look to get the $.

Tbh had the worst experience with these punks, almost got into a physical altercation at their office.

Which location were you hauling out of??

I’m sure the awards are created by their HR department. If they do have a safe fleet those trucks must be kept in the barn
