Hello .Did anyone try this on trucks?
I keep reading about best shocks and Bilstein gets all over best reviews especially for harsh off road vehicles where other brands don't make it.
I called them they have for motorhome and trucks.
They can't cross # with my oem but asked me to take measurement.
I found this video on you tube, would this work for heavy trucks?

I just buy the Monroe brand every January from Fleet pride. I don't think the expense of shocks are worth it.
Johny41 Thanks this. -

They are not very expensive,
starting from 60-70$;

I'm driving via I-75 ,Michigan I-69 Indiana, I-40 west of Memphis, the road is terrible, I blew up a dive tire in a pothole with empty trl, : I see trucks broken down on this sections every trip. My Sachs Hendrickson OEMs on Volvo 780 can't take it, are leaking after 2-3 trips.Last edited: May 4, 2017

Why wouldn't you take a factory oem installed shock and extend it to measure the extended length? Seems simple and more accurate to me.
I delivered to Eone in FL a while back. On the fire trucks they install Koni shocks. I tried to look up a semi application chart or cross reference. Not easy. -
@Johny41 how long are the Bilsteins lasting on your 780?

He just bought OEM Volvo Sachs and one of them already started leaking oil.Last edited: May 4, 2017
