whats the biggest fuel tanks on any truck you seen?

most of our tractors seem to hold 75-150 gallons per tank but these are LTL tractors not over the road....i have seen some huge tanks that look like 200 gallons

I knew a guy once with a 330'' WB I think it was, he had FOUR 175 gallon tanks. He had a contract for hauling waffles, and always had room to spare for weight, he never had to worry about running out of fuel! While it would be very nice to carry that much fuel, if his contract were to end prematurely, where do you go with a truck that weighs 26,000 pounds bobtailing? Not many companies interested in a truck over 20,000 pounds nowadays.

My 05 W900 has 120 gallon tanks on each side, and that's the perfect amount to me, I can still carry a good amount of fuel and make it pretty far, but it also isn't an issue to legalize 47,000 on a tandem full of fuel.

I wonder how much fuel you can legally carry without needing a placard?

I think amount is all dependent on what the bulk haz-mat amount is. The number is probably around 450-500 gal, but I doubt any DOT are gonna mess with ya since its used for fuel and not payload.

The biggest production fuel tanks I have seen are the 150 gal tanks. I have seen a few trucks running 3-4 tanks. These trucks are usually so called "team" trucks with 3-4 people in them (we all know the type) so they never really have to stop.

Factory installed tanks are 150,but 200's are pretty common.
Havent seen the custom 300's since the early 90's.
