Would appreciate any guidance regarding running someone else's truck under my authority... This is my first time doing this so I'm a bit confused about how to set things up properly. The plan is to split everything 50/50 (expenses and profits) - he provides the truck and I run it with my authority/driver

    1) How do I add this truck to my authority? What information/documents do I need from the truck owner?
    2) Truck would be added to my insurance, any special requirements I should be aware of? Does the truck owner need to get any separate insurance like bobtail? Who's responsible for what coverage in cases like this?
    3) Anything else I should be aware of?

    Thank you

The question you need to be asking is. How long do you guys guess I will survive when giving away 50% of my profits?

    Siinman Thanks this.

get a lawyer to craft a contract for you, don't use someone else's.

Talk to the OOIDA, if you are not a member, become one or better become a life member.

This all costs money to do it right, it isn't just saying here put my numbers on the truck and go go go!!

    Siinman Thanks this.
