I just want to find the best way to receive local television programming. I'm currently using the system that came with the truck. As we all know that doesn't work very well. Any tips greatly appreciated.

I have a similar antenna. It works great at the house, but it's terrible in the truck. I think my little cheapish inverter is producing a dirty sine wave. It may work better with a bigger and better quality inverter.

Thanks. Did it cut out when trucks moved past you?

They will sometimes cut out when a truck passes by. My problem is it would cut out half the time when nobody was around. It would work for 15 seconds, then cut out, but works perfectly at home.

Mine is sitting on the top bunk collecting dust unused. I'd sell it to you for cheap. My standard antenna on the truck reeled in far more stations than that crappy RCA with amplifier.
