I wish I could say the same for MY house....maybe no parking, depending upon if our renter is there, my wife is there, her kids are there....then I gotta park at the Pilot!
Actually, my favorite T/S is the one where the neighboring trucks aren't blowing out noxious fumes from out-of-whack APUs, blowing air every 20 seconds from faulty valves, and haven't turned down their FM radio even though they've shut the engine off and don't have to have the thing so loud to hear it!

Petro in my opinion

The Iowa 80 is fun to go once or twice, just to see it (or, if you're fortunate to be there the night that, say, two FedEx contractors get into a stabbing match in the parking lot, then you can witness the drama of that unfolding). Their restaurant is a bit overrated, IMO, although I do like the buffet, and the shops sell a bunch of overpriced crap.
On the plus side, if you can park close enough to the main building, you can use the Wi-Fi from your truck for free.. same with the Joplin 44 and Oak Grove 70 (I'd imagine it would be the same with the Kenly 95, but I've never been to that one, ironically).
I like the Petro in Fargo simply because it sits caddycorner from Space Aliens Bar & Grill... they have a chicken bacon ranch wrap which is to die for.
The non-corporate TA Travel Centers can be pretty nice, such as the one in Breezewood, PA or Albert Lea, MN.
White's is no more, unfortunately.
I like seeing all the vintage stuff on display at Ed's Truck Stop in Sallisaw, OK. Other than that, there really isn't much impressive about it. Never tried their restaurant.
If I have to actually buy something truck related, I tend to find better prices at Ambest and independent truck stops than at the major chains. I bought a bunch of tarp straps and an extra cheater bar at the Ambest in Newton, KS.
The best shower I ever had was at the Petro in Salina, KS. I was fortunate enough to get one of their "platinum" showers, and it was really nice. Well decorated, very clean, it had satellite radio, and a shower with one of those "rain" showerheads in addition to the regular shower head.
But, all in all, I don't really care for truck stops, no matter how lavish they are. -
I really like the Bosselmans in Grand Island, NE the best. The staff is exceptional, everything is spotless, restaurant is tasty and the parking is roomy.

White's is no more, unfortunately.
White's in VA?
I used to love stopping there. Have not been down that way in over a year. -
Yeah, that one. It still exists - it's just not White's anymore. It's been sold off, turned into a Petro, IIRC.

On I-81 in Lexington VA, Lee High truck stop, unfortuitly is now a TA, but, the restaurant is still there.

Here's my favorite. I stay here nightly.
Giggles the Original Thanks this.
