Hello, now that i purchased my first trucks, i will be using websites, and sending my drivers to pick up freights all around the U.S. A friend usually goes to arizona, and texas as his main first stop. I was wondering where is the most money at when you pick up a freight?? I am based out of Michigan, and my drivers will be on the road for a while, so i will be able to go all around with no issue. Is there any advice on where the most money is at??
Thanks

Without a business module or 'plan' set up.....You are in a bit of trouble.
Their are a vast amount of freight Lanes.......Depending on what your customers needs are, It can Vary.
If you plan on using freight brokers on all or your moves, You are Doomed from the start.
You cant just go get yourself a half dozen trucks and trailers, Grab an MC#..And think "Its all $$$ from here"... Dont work that way. Everybody wants to be a trucking company these days...
The Euroglides are moving freight for cheap..Same with the Mexi's,Asians and South Americans..Cheap,Cheap,cheap.
For you to succeed....You nered to be SMARTER than others out here.........
Go get your outbound customer base fulfilled first...Then we can talk about Lanes,Rates,And Savvy opportunitiesFlightline, TwinTransportation, rocknroll81 and 2 others Thank this. -
Long story short, in the short run, i dont see my self making any money, and that doesn't bother me, i am trying to build something to where when it does show me some money, it will be stronger than ever. I don't expect to make half a million dollar a truck, but if i make half a million through 20 trucks, im still fine with it.
I have a strong team, and I am very confident i can grow...
Also, thanks for your response -
Also, i have to start somewhere. Not like a company is just gonna hire my trucks cause I have 20 trucks, i have to build a reputation.

Wow this is so random. Your own authority but you think your only ongoing expense is drivers plus your plan is to run purely broker freight you would make money leasing the fleet onto a good carrier that has good direct freight and pays a fgair% especially since you state that this fleet is not your primary focus just a hobby
