Best Route- Albuquerque, NM to Salt Lake CIty, UT

    Company routing shows alb to nm550 thru durango, co161m then onto ut491--
    was wondering though about heading nortg out of Gallop, nm on 491..

    have time ... we'll be sunday... any pros or cons...
    ii'm light this weekend , at 18k lbs

    both routes, 550 or 491 up to 191 are within 25 miles total...
    so 550 is the better run.. thx

    I'm running version 14. I thought that was the latest version. No biggie, though...it was free from my company.

    So there's no more "Devil's Highway", eh?

    I only commented in case he would start looking for 666. All of the signs got stolen before they had the change completed. The last time I drove it 2000, it was still 666.

    Wow, thats alot of directions and way to much time to read, try 15S, Provo 6/191, 70 East drop thru Moab Ut follow to Shipwreck and get on 40E.

    I ran the other direction. from SLC to Albq. I used I-15 to US6/191 (south of Provo-Spanish Fork)to US491 to US160 to US550 to I25... Just reverse it. Very cool scenery if you can run it in the daylight. Not too much traffic to worry about either. And I run a Crete truck powered by Briggs and Stratton, we use to use little hamsters running in a wheel, but PETA got mad....... so we had to switch to Briggs....Ha
