Pretty soon im going to get at least a bunk if not a coolant also heater.

Does anyone know where I can get a good price on one?

A couple years ago Thermoking in Tulsa would install an Espar bunk heater for $1,200...looking at prices on Ebay I'm almost scared to call them for a quote now.

I wouldn't have a problem installing it myself bit would rather have it done just for the warranty.

Eberschpaher and Webasto are both good, and parts are available.

Ok, what Webasto and what Eber do you want to install? small AT2000 may be enoght in your area, but if you drive your truck far to nord you need something bigger over 3kWt. so look for Eber D3LC ore Webast AT3500/5000.

I advice you to install addtional tank (2-3 gal) for heater, becuse whe it is really cold fuel is like a gel so I use mix of 70% diesel fuel and 30% of aircraft jet fuel.

Thermo King in Sikeston, MO quoted me $1,500 installed for a Espar last week. Luckily I still have my Webasto from my last truck, just need to clean the glow plug and it should be good to go.

heres my problem with one of these systems...they run on ur batteries right? so how long can it run till u have to fire the truck to recharge the batteries? it would suck to get a good nights warm sleep and reach out to fire ur truck up and the batteries are dead.

If you have good batteries you won't have that problem. Failing that a low voltage alarm or shut down you won't have that problem,

Ouh yeah, AT2000ST. used on Actros MP2 . IMO. Good heater but not for big cab.

Glow plug issues are rare. We generally get burner insert (also called fuel evaparator) clogged with carbon deposits and bad blow motor problem.

I'd recomend AT3500/5000 for US sleeper, becouse if temperature is lower -10 dgr C AT2000 wil run continiously on 100% power and it will not be enought so heater life will be short. AT2000ST is not enought for Actros Mega Space cab.
